IBM Sequoia supercomputer

Read today an article about IBM Sequoia supercomputer. It’s public that new computer uses 45 nm 16-core CPU’s (Presumably PowerPC?), 4096 pcs per rack, total 1,6 million cores, providing 20 PFLOPS (PetaFLOP) performance. Yes, it has memory too, 1,6 PB (PetaByte) of it.

It needs 300 square meters of floor space and has form factor of 96 “refrigerator”-sized racks.

What to say, its about 3800 x as powerful as my current computer doing 5,3 TFLOPS (0,0053 PFLOPS).
