
Today I ordered components for the new rig:
- MSI K9A2 Platinum system board
- AMD Phenom II x4 model 920 processor (new 45nm technology)
- 4 x NVIDIA GTX295 dual-GPU’s (total 8 GPU’s, new 55nm technology)
- Coolmaster HAF 932 case with 2 PSU-s (FSP Everest 1200 + Everest 800)
Projected performance = 50 – 56 000 PPD

Nice rig, but without nuclear power plant in Latvia there might be some difficulties with powering it up
Are you using water cooling for this setup? if not, How you manage to put 4 Card on this case since 4 gtx 295 card needs 8 Expansion Slots?
No, air cooling is OK. You have to put GPU cooling fans to 90-100% in Nvidia Control Panel and GPU-s stay below 95 degrees. Max is allowed 105. There are few full tower cases what allow to place all 4 double cards in. I used CooleMaster HAF. Currently I’m running 19″ rack rig with rach shelves like that:
